The Legislative body of the American Legion Auxiliary, Department of Delaware, Inc. is at our Annual Convention. Convention delegates elect Department Officers, ratify chairmen and vote on modification to our constitution and bylaws.
The Department Executive Committee (DEC) is the governing body of The American Legion Auxiliary, Department of Delaware, Inc. It is comprised of its elected Executive Officers, Past Department Presidents, Unit Presidents and Committee Chairmen. The Department Executive Committee and its sub-committees, adopt policies, approve budgets, make investment decisions and establish the Centennial Strategic Plan; and have fiduciary and legal responsibility for the organization.

In 2014, the American Legion Auxiliary finalized a complete revision of our constitution, bylaws and standing rules; it reflects the organizations current practices and ensures that board members have solid guidelines for running the organization.
